Any parent who has ever had to visit the hospital or emergency room with their child knows how heart-wrenching the experience is. There's nothing worse than feeling helpless while your child is sick, injured or suffering from an unknown ailment. Kylie Jenner shared that she had to take her 16-month-old daughter Stormi to the hospital over the weekend and the experience has truly made her realize how much parents with sick children go through.
Yesterday Jenner uploaded a picture of a sleeping Stormi cuddled up to her mom's chest, explaining that the toddler spent the day in the hospital after a suspected allergic reaction. "Spent the day in the hospital with my baby," Jenner began her post.
"She had an allergic reaction but is 100% okay now and we are home. Nothing else matters when these things happen." Thankfully little Stormi is doing fine and was able to go home, but the experience had Jenner thinking of all the other parents who have sick children as well.
"God bless all the moms with sick babies," she wrote on her post. "I'm sending so much love and positive energy your way," she continued.
It's sweet that Jenner acknowledged those moms who may not be able to go home with their children after a day and snuggle and cuddle them and sent "so much love and positive energy" their way. It's hard for parents with chronically ill children to often deal with the day to day realities of having a sick child.
"Nothing prepared me for a child with a chronic illness, who would be endlessly on a roller coaster of health and sickness with no stopping point in sight," wrote one mother who is struggling with having a child with a chronic illness.
Jenner's life seemed to have changed dramatically when she welcomed Stormi after a pregnancy she kept secret from the public. She told Interview Magazine that becoming a mother was truly life changing for her. "I always knew I was ready but you don’t know what that love and that feeling is like until after you have a child," Jenner said. "She really comes before me so that is a lot to take in at a young age but I feel like I was definitely made for this and she has changed my life for the better. The way that I look at things is a lot more positive and I really feel like my life didn’t start until I had her."
Knowing what a huge impact young Stormi has had on Jenner's life it's no surprise that her hospital scare would also be heart-wrenching for her. Jenner is truly a part of the mom community and sending her love to those who have sick children with her heartfelt words shows just how strong a community it is.
