Here's Everything We Know About 'Toy Story 4' So Far

Oh man, we are so excited about the new Toy Story movie! It is definitely our favorite Pixar franchise, and each movie has been better (and sadder!) than the one that came before it. It's been almost 9 years since we last adventured with Woody, Buzz, and the whole gang. But ever since Disney Pixar announced a fourth film in the franchise, we've been on pins and needles for our first glimpse of what we can expect! We've gotten to see a few teaser trailers for Toy Story 4, which is due to hit theaters Summer 2019. But we still don't know much about the story line. Here's everything we DO know so far.

We'll definitely see the main cast of toys in the fourth film, that much we know for sure. Tom Hanks will be returning as the voice of Woody, and Tim Allen and Joan Cusack will be back as Buzz and Jessie, respectively. One of the rumors about Toy Story 4 is that Bo Peep will be back in a pretty big role (perhaps as a love interest for Woody?!), and Annie Potts will be voicing the character. Patricia Arquette will be joining the cast as a hippie mom. The stars of the film have said in interviews that they really struggled to get through the final scenes of the movie, leading us to believe that it's going to be an emotional finale.

In one of the teaser trailers, we see all of our favorites. Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead, Rex, Hamm, and Slinky, and of course, the little green alien. But we also get our first glimpse of a brand new character. Forky, voiced by Tony Hale, is joining the gang as a spork who doesn't quite feel like he belongs among the toys. But as parents, we know: a kid can make ANYTHING toy!

The trailer doesn't tell us much, but we are still so excited for this movie! The franchise is one of those that we've all grown up with, and our kids are growing up with, too. The movies are sort of timeless, and no matter how many times we've seen them, they never ever get old. The movie was directed by Josh Cooley, and executive-produced by John Lasseter, who helmed Toy Story and Toy Story 2Toy Story 4 hits theaters on June 21, 2019. Get ready, guys! We've got about 7 months of teaser trailers before we can see the real thing!
