During a segment featuring Kris Jenner, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres surprised the momager by bringing out daughter Kourtney as well as six of the reality star's grandchildren. Kourtney brought out her own kids Mason, 9, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 4, as well as Kim’s three children North, 5, Saint, 3, and Chicago, 1. Kourtney then surprised her mother even more by revealing that Kim and Kanye's surrogate was in labor and that was why Kim wasn't on the show.

“So, my mom doesn’t even know this, but Kim’s surrogate went into labor, so she’s at the hospital,” Kourtney told the talk show host when explaining why Kim wasn't with her. Kris was clearly shocked stating, “What! What are we doing here?!” as she seemed ready to run to the hospital.

Kourtney then told the talk show host that no one knew that the reality stars had gone to the hospital and jokingly told the studio audience to keep it a secret!

Kim shot down rumors earlier in the week that her surrogate had already gone into labor  that was caused after she posted a text message she had received from her husband that said she had "four kids."

Many people took that to assume that her fourth child, a boy, was already born or at least that her surrogate was in labor. Kim was quick to ensure everyone that wasn't the case and that she wouldn't be attending the Met Ball if her son had been born.

After suffering from preeclampsia and placenta accreta during her first two pregnancies, Kim decided to hire a gestational surrogate to carry her third child, daughter Chicago. The couple then decided shortly after little Chi was born to use a remaining embryo and add another baby, a little brother for North, Saint, and Chicago, to the family. The couple announced they would be adding to their family back in January.
