Kim Kardashian's new shapewear collection has a brand new name after she was highly criticized for the line's previous label. Kardashian came under fire after she announced her line was originally going to be called Kimono Solutionwear with many accusing the reality star and beauty mogul of cultural appropriation. Since the backlash, Kardashian promised to do better and re-name her line, and recently announced the launch of the newly named SKIMS Solutionwear.

Kardashian announced the launch of her body inclusive shapewear line that will launch on September 10 with a post on Instagram. "My fans and followers are a huge inspiration to me – I’m always listening to their feedback and opinions, and am so grateful they shared their ideas for a new brand name," she captioned her post. "After much thought and consideration, I’m excited to announce the launch of @SKIMS Solutionwear™ coming September 10. I love the idea that the pieces will be the closest thing to someone’s skin, skimming with amazingly soft and supportive fabrics which accentuate the best parts of our bodies." She also announced that her product line will be for all body shapes and sizes and available in sizes ranging from XXS to 5Xl. "SKIMS Solutionwear™ is for every body."

Kardashian was very receptive to the pushback she received from the initial name of her shapewear line admitting to the New York Times that her team should have thought more about the name.

"You would think we would have obviously thought it through a little bit deeper," she confesses. "I’m the first person to say, ‘OK, of course, I can’t believe we didn’t think of this.’ I obviously had really innocent intentions. But, let’s listen. And I want to really listen. And I want to really take it all in."

"I do realize, though, that there might be more eyes on me and my brand and so I have to tune it out and really learn and really grow and have to realize that maybe there is a different standard," she says. "Do I feel held to a higher standard? I’ll take responsibility for that and do the right thing."

Back in June, she updated her fans and followers, noting that she already had over 2 million pieces of her shapewear line created and printed with the previous name.

She walked through viewers of the different options they were considering so as to not waste the garments that have previously been created.

"I just want you guys to have a little progress report and know that I’m working really hard to figure out how to not be wasteful and change the name at the same time," Kardashian stated in the video.

In addition to being body inclusive by offering a wide range of sizes, the SKIMS Solutionwear will also be available in nine different shapes and come in a variety of designs.
