‘Kidz Bop Karen' Has A Viral Meltdown & People Can’t Get Enough

A road rage incident has been turned into a viral internet meme after one woman was caught on camera going off on a rideshare driver. If you've been on social media lately you've probably noticed that Kidz Bop has been trending thanks to the rant of one angry woman the internet has now dubbed 'Kidz Bop Karen.'

The alleged incident occurred last week when a rideshare driver was accused of cutting 'Kidz Bop Karen' off while driving on New York City's West Side Highway. Karen (not her real name) then stopped her car in the middle of traffic and decided to give the rideshare driver a piece of her mind. Although the driver was apologetic and made numerous apologies, Karen became incredibly irritated at the car's passenger, Chelsea Klein who began filming her rant.

“She thinks it’s cute that her driver almost hit my kids, and she thinks she needs to take a video of it instead of apologizing,” 'Karen' says as Klein continues to film. Despite the driver continuing to explain that it was his fault, Karen continued on her rant. “It is your fault. And you know, that didn’t upset me, but the b*tch a** h** that told me to calm down? What I’d like you to do is apologize instead of being a b*tch,” Karen says to Klein.

"I honestly started filming because I was scared she was going to jump in the car," Klein told NBC News of the now-viral clip that has resulted in the creation of hundreds of memes.

When Klein told the woman that she should set an example and not curse at her because her children might hear, 'Karen' quickly explained that they couldn't hear her because they were listening to Kidz Bop, hence the internet nicknaming her 'Kidz Bop Karen.'

Although she hasn't been identified, TMZ caught up with the woman known as 'Kidz Bop Karen' and she admitted that her rant was an example of white privilege and acknowledges that things could have ended up quite differently if she wasn't a white woman. She also said she wants to apologize to the rideshare driver and that she has no issues with Klein for filming her tirade. She also says she fully understands that hate she is getting but calls being labelled a Republican "the worst insult of all."

And because it was the question everyone wanted to know the answer to, Karen told TMZ that her kids were listening to the Kidz Bop version of Old Town Road.
