It's not even Halloween yet, but that doesn't stop anyone from getting into the spirit of Christmas! Just as you're getting ready to spook the neighborhood kids, stores and companies all over are gearing up for the holiday season and already starting to spread joy.

With Christmas comes every kid's favorite (and every parent's most stressful) game: Elf on the Shelf. The makers of this little tradition aren't the only ones who get to cash in on it this year, because Kellogg's is releasing a special Elf on the Shelf cereal!

This cereal is every sugar-lover's dream come true. It's literally called "Sugar Cookie Cereal", which means maybe you won't have to eat an entire roll of cookie dough this year, you can just munch on this instead. As if that's not enough to lure you in, it also takes a tip from kid (and parent) favorite, Lucky Charms, and has marshmallows in it!

The cereal, which is already available in Canada but will be released soon in the US, is super festive with red and green sugar cookie pieces with white marshmallows sprinkled in for some snow-like fun. According to ScaryMommy, it also has a gold glittery (edible) shimmer to it - just to add to the magic.

Craving it already? Good news, you won't have to wait much longer. The cereal is set to come out in early November and will be sold at Walmart, and other participating stores. While the cereal is obviously marketed towards kids, with the signature Elf on the front of the box and dubbing itself the "official cereal of the North Pole", there's no doubt parents will be lining up to get their hands on it for themselves.

Anyone who is thinking about fighting the crowds so they can stock their pantry full of this sugary goodness had better be careful, because the whole idea of the Elf on the Shelf is to keep an eye on kids and report back to Santa on their behavior. So, if you're tackling people to the ground like the cereal is a big screen TV on Black Friday, Santa is sure to find out. This cereal may actually be worth getting a lump of coal, though.
