The global pandemic has ruined a lot of things for many people. They have been forced to cancel events and they have missed holidays with their families. Times have seemed darker than ever imagined, and it is so important to try and find the light at the end of this never-ending tunnel. Kathie Lee Gifford was able to find that hope and light and she opened up about the fact that both of her children were able to get married despite the pandemic.

According to Today, Kathie Lee Gifford was speaking with Hoda Ktob and Jenna Bush Hager and she spoke about her two children, Cassidy and Cody, who both were able to get married over the summer. Weddings were put on hold, or had to be seriously rearranged to a smaller audience.

In the conversation, she spoke about how blessed that she feels that her children were able to find the person that they were meant to be with. She starts the conversation by saying that these weddings were not what either of her children were planning on having. She said that they were both planning on having large and traditional weddings.

She said that COVID-19 had changed that, as it has changed everything in our lives and that it turns out it was a blessing. She also added that if we let them, these situations can often turn into a blessing, and that is a very inspirational realization to take away from all of this.

She speaks about how her daughter, Cassidy’s, wedding was in Michigan and that is where her new husband had grown up. It was on a large farm, but her son, Cody, choose a smaller and more intimate location and that was in Kathie Lee’s backyard.

Both weddings were incredibly small and they just had their parents and siblings there and no one else, but they do plan on having a larger celebration when it is safe to do so, according to People. Kathie Lee also had some words of advice for other parents out there and she said that it is just wonderful to see your child just meet the person they are meant to be with. She also shared the stories of how her children met their partner, and her daughter has known her now-husband since she was just 11 years old and he was 14. It is just another inspirational story of hope and love that we all need right now.
