Even future queens aren't immune to mom guilt — or "mum guilt," as the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, called it during a recent interview.

Kate's life might not seem to have much in common with us commoners, but the truth is that she feels the same things that we do as mothers, wondering if she is doing the right things for her kids. We all want our kids to dream big and reach for the stars, but we don't have the added stress of raising a future king.

Kate talked about pregnancy and motherhood during an interview with the "Happy Mum, Happy Baby" podcast, and we are surprised at how much we can relate with her answers.

Kate described herself as hands-on, and talked about the amazing memories of her grandmother growing up, and how she models her interactions with her kids with that role model. But Kate also has royal duties to attend to, and she admitted that she feels mom guilt, when she is apart from her children. She even went so far to say that women who say they don't suffer with the feeling are lying — and we totally agree.

In the interview, Kate talked about how tough her pregnancies were, dealing with hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme version of morning sickness. At the same time, she said, it was hard on the people around her, including Prince William, since he couldn't do anything to help her.

She tried breathing exercises to help her get through, and she realized that hypnobirthing could help during the labor and delivery too.

Kate is working hard to try to make parenthood a little easier for people in the United Kingdom. The podcast interview was part of her push to have parents complete a survey to help create some policies and programs, which can support parents of young children.

Kate said she is really interested in making a lasting change on parents, who can make an impact on the next generation. She's made a tremendous start in the way that she has worked, to remind us all that all parents struggle to find the right answers.

Whether you are a princess or a pauper, all moms want to do their best for their kids, and with a little support and love from the royal family, we all might get closer to the solution.
