There are so many complexities when having children that we don’t even realize. The world is a big and fascinating place to children who are just in the middle of experiencing it for the first time. We also tend to think we know a lot about how things work until our children start to get curious. When your child comes up to you and asks you why the sky is blue, you suddenly realize you should have paid more attention in school. That’s because you have no idea how to answer that question.

Raising children in the middle of a pandemic is a whole other ball game. Children everywhere are suddenly in lock down. They can’t go to school, they can’t go and play on playgrounds, they can’t see their friends and they wonder why grandma hasn’t visited in a while. This is a lot for a small and growing mind to process, and it’s up to us to try and help them navigate through it all.
