Looking from the outside in, it can seem like the lives of the rich and famous are pretty damn sweet. All that money and fame! Definitely seems like it would make life a lot easier, right? Celebrities always seem to have their stuff together, particularly when it comes to parenting. A lot of them share a lot about their lives, and for the casual observer, it would be really hard not to get a bit jealous!
We can barely put laundry away in the same week it was washed, let alone run a multi-million dollar business while raising our kids and always looking like a billion bucks. But there's a good reason celebs are seemingly able to do it all: the vast majority of them have A LOT of help. From personal assistants to managers and often a full household staff, these people aren't sailing the ship solo, if you catch our drift.
Celeb parents often have nannies, and those nannies are often in charge of the day-to-day stuff that can make parenting such a heavy lift for us non-celebs. Take the Kardashian family, for example. Between them, they have a lot of kids, and are incredibly successful. So those Kardashian nannies are definitely working overtime.
And while it looks like a sweet gig, being a Kardashian nanny isn't all its cracked up to be.
How Many Kids Do The Kardashian's Have?
It can definitely be hard to keep track with all those siblings and the surprise babies that seem to happen on a biannual basis! So let's break it down. Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West have four children: North, 7; Saint, 4; Chicago, 2; and Psalm, 1. Kourtney Kardashian has three kids of her own with ex Scott Disick: Mason, 10; Penelope, 7; and Reign, 5.
Khloe Kardashian has one daughter with ex Tristan Thompson: True, 2. And half-sister Kylie Jenner has a daughter with ex Travis Scott: Stormi, 2. Rounding out is Rob Kardashian, who has a 3-year old daughter named Dream with Blac Chyna. All told, that's TEN Kardashian kids!
Do The Kardashians Have Nannies?
It's pretty obvious that the Kardashian's have a staff of employees that help make their world go round, and that includes nannies. The nannies, however, are not to be seen or heard from, so we don't ever see them on any of their social media pages or their hit reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Kim has talked about her nannies before, and her daughter North has mentioned them on the show on occasion. Kourtney also employs nannies, although since her children are older and she isn't as involved with the show as she used to be, it's unclear how many she currently has on staff.
But in an episode of KUWTK, she told a story about one of her nannies quitting because of an incident with her daughter, Penelope. Khloe seems to be the most hands-on mom, but even she's said before that she's grateful for the help she has as a single mom to True.
How many Kardashian nannies does Kim have?
Back in 2018, it was reported that Kim Kardashian alone employed three nannies to help with her three kids; the nannies worked in shifts so that one was always available, 24 hours a day. Since then, she and Kanye have added a fourth child to their family, so it's possible that her nanny tally is a bit higher now.
Radar Online reports that the Kardashian-West family spends between $50,000-$100,000 a month on nanny care, which is ... an insane amount of money. That doesn't even include their other household staff, like housekeepers, chefs, and personal assistants.
What Happened To Kourtney Kardashian’s Nanny?
On an episode of KUWTK, Kourtney mentioned an incident between her then-nanny and her daughter, Penelope. As Kourtney told it, the nanny was helping Penelope into the car when the child got upset and lashed out, scratching the nanny in the face. This led to the nanny quitting, and also led to quite the family discussion over how to discipline Penelope for her behavior. Kourtney mentioned in the episode that she believes Penelope can be out of control, and says she thinks her daughter sometimes blacks out and does these things.
There was also an incident with another nanny, whom Kourtney hired shortly after the nanny involved in the incident with Penelope quit. Kourtney's assistant said they noticed money was missing from her purse, and there was allegedly money missing from Scott's wallet too.
Kourtney then discovered that her iPad was missing, and after reviewing security footage from inside her home, discovered the nanny snooping around her office with a flashlight. Staffers then informed Kourtney that the nanny had also been reading her private text messages. Kourtney never got a chance to confront the nanny however, as she left the home in a hurry right as Kourtney was about to approach her.
