While many people canceled Halloween this year or just simply didn't feel the festive spirit, model Kaia Gerber and her boyfriend, actor Jacob Elordi shocked the world with their very elaborate, incredibly thought out costumes. They joined a slew of other celebrities that lived out their dreams this year by taking on an aesthetic challenge.
Kaia and Jacob had an incredibly ambitious goal and they pulled all the stops to make sure it came into fruition. By engaging the top stylists and makeup artists, they immersed themselves into a total transformation, to become none other than the iconic rock couple, Priscilla and Elvis Presley!
While many would be intimidated by this iconic and legendary imitation, Kaia was up for the challenge, and knew that if she paid enough attention to detail and engaged the right support staff, she could pull off this look with success. She definitely nailed it!
It was no easy feat, but the final outcome was enough proof that this labor of love and very brave experiment was a huge success.
Achieving this look took countless hours of planning and preparation. Vogue reports that Kaia and Jacob took the plunge and hired none other than 20 year old makeup guru Sam Visser to be responsible for their makeup transformation. Charlie Le Mindu was entrusted with the huge responsibility of creating the perfect hairstyles for the wanna-be Mr. & Mrs. Presley. This turned out to be money well invested.
Le Mindu notes that the couple were inspired by a 70s photo "of Priscilla driving her classic white Mercedes from later in their relationship." From there, the ideas began to flow, and the project began.
Kaia soon underwent the cosmetic overhaul, getting a classic smokey-eye and dramatic eyeliner that Priscilla was known for. Lavender and grey tones were prevalent in Kaia's makeup, and perfectly matched the tones that Priscilla was wearing at the time.
Her hair was perfectly coiffed, and this year, rather than tossing the Halloween of 2020 to the wayside, Kaia Gerber dominated the Halloween scene with this classic look that none of us can take our eyes off of.
Moments after posting this stunning, classic look to her social media account, Kaia's comments section was flooded with love and praise. Fans posted comments revealing how iconic this look was and how well she did at duplicating it, with many noting that even her outfit was bang-on. Kaia rocked it as Priscilla, and now faces just one problem.... the pressure will be very real in 2021, as this Halloween-look will be a tough one to beat!
