There has been more sad news for the Duggar family. Just last month the family revealed that patriarch Jim Bob Duggar's mother, Mary, died from accidental drowning. Now the family is grieving once again after daughter Joy-Anna revealed that she miscarried her second child at 5 months.

Joy-Anna and her husband Austin Forsyth shared the sad news on their Instagram page, revealing that it had been a week since they were delivered the devastating news. "Today marks one week since we heard these words…" they began the post. "So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement."

The couple reveals that they had gone to the doctor for a routine 20-week ultrasound where they were also going to learn the gender of their unborn baby. "It was a baby girl," they wrote in their post.

The couple shared that they named their daughter Annabell Elise. "Annabell means “God has favored me”, and Elise means “God satisfies”," they wrote. Thousands of fans have left comments of support on the couple's post, as have family members and other close friends of the family.

Joy-Anna's sister Jana sent the couple a message on her own Instagram writing, "My heart aches for you, Joy and Austin! I know this has been a very difficult time for you. Watching you both walk through this deep sorrow and loss with hearts that continue to trust Jesus—in all things—has really touched me. Love you both dearly and praying for you!"

Sister Jessa, who recently welcomed her third child, echoed Jana's sentiment writing, "Our hearts are breaking over your loss. Such beautiful words you’ve written in your post. Annabell will forever be in our hearts. We love you all and are praying for God’s peace and comfort during this time."

The couple, who are parents to 1-year-old son Gideon, announced their second pregnancy back in May with a sweet shot of the couple holding their ultrasound photos.

The couple revealed that although they are incredibly sad about their loss, they are coping. "Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord. In the words of King David after the loss of his baby, “I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me” (2 Sam 12:23)."

The couple ended their post asking for prayers from friends, family, and fans. "Please pray for continued healing, not only physically but for our hearts as well."
