Now that a 10-year gag order has been exhausted, former reality star Jon Gosselin is speaking out about life with ex-wife Kate Gosselin. Jon sat down with daytime talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz on Monday’s episode of The Dr. Oz Show to discuss his ex-wife and where the couple stand today.

When asked by Dr. Oz about the status of his and Kate's relationship, Jon replied that "We don’t have a relationship right now,” he said. “We don’t talk, nothing. The only time I see my ex-wife is in court because we’ve exhausted all opportunities to co-parent. It’s just never going to happen, due to personality disorders and everything else. We just have different aspects on how we want to parent.”

Gosselin went on to state that he has a passive-aggressive personality and tends to think more about others and his children while his ex-wife has a narcissistic personality disorder and thinks about herself first. He also commented on his so Collin, whom Kate had sent to a special boarding school due to his "special needs."

“She, Kate, institutionalized him without a diagnosis, which created a diagnosis. He was wrongly institutionalized,” Jon, 42, told Oz. “Just because he was a difficult child, does not mean he had to be sent away. It took me two years to find him. I had physical custody and not legal at the time and the only way I found out where Collin was — Collin wrote a letter, his roommate smuggled it out, called my manager, my manager vetted the roommate and that’s how I found out where Collin was.” Jon has had custody of Collin since December of last year along with daughter Hannah.

While Kate has repeatedly refused to comment on her marriage and current relationship with her ex-husband, she did release a statement to PEOPLE after hearing that Jon would be appearing on the talk show. “I have consistently made it a rule never to respond to Jon’s delusional ramblings, and I will not break that rule now,” she said. “However, at some point soon, I look forward to making sure the absolute truth about our family is known.”
