John David Duggar and his wife, Abbie Burnett, are expecting their first child! The couple is over the moon with their exciting news, and so are we!
John David Duggar wears many hats. He works as a Tontitown Firefighter and First Responder, for the Tontitown Police, and in construction. Now he will be able to add a new title to that list: Dad.
Duggar, 29, and Burnett, 27, began dating in June 2018, and just a month later Duggar proposed. In a super romantic act, Duggar got down on one knee in an airplane hangar in front of a sign that read, “Abbie, Will You Marry Me?” The couple was married in Arkansas on November 3, 2018. Soon, their family will be growing.
Duggar and Burnett kept with the airplane theme when sharing the news that they are expecting. To announce their happy message, the pair posed in the air, wearing headphones and mouthpieces. They each help up the corner of a baby onesie that reads, "Baby Passenger on Board." Below the cute message is the most adorable illustration of a little airplane.
Similar to their excited gushing after discussing their tying the knot, the couple says they are so thankful for what is to come and they look forward to their new adventure.
The original Duggars, Jim Bob and Michelle met in Junior High School. When they married, they planned for two or three children. They waiting four years before having their first child, because they believed they should wait until they were ready. Planning to delay their second child, they ended up with a miscarriage. This occurrence motivated them to welcome any children into their lives.
The Duggars have always been about growing their family, ever since they had their first set of twins, John David and Jana, back in 1988. The original Duggars, Jim Bob and Michelle, had ninteen children in total, and they are now grandparents of thirteen, with four more on the way.
