Trying to keep dinner fun for kids can be a chore. So when you find something that works, you go with it. Jill Duggar has found ways to keep her boys happy during dinner and good for her. But of course, there are people who have opinions about how she does it. We know that commenters just can't help themselves sometime. And those who feel the need to shame a mom, especially one in the public eye, about their choices are plentiful.

Jill posted a picture of her sons Israel and Samuel sitting outside in their yard having dinner. She had made Sloppy Joes, which we all know can get messy. Samuel, who is two is wearing a bib, while Israel, age four, has a bib next to him. He may have had it on and chose to take it off. Of course, someone had feelings about Israel wearing a bib, given how old he is.

"There is one thing that just drives me nuts!! It is those stinking bibs. Israel is waaay to big," the commenter says. She also implores Jill to "Save his sweet dignity!!" as if wearing a bib during a messy dinner is the worst thing in the world.

Thankfully, people came to Jill's defense, making very valid point. Sloppy Joes have the word "sloppy" right there in the title. Little kids are messy eaters even with foods that are cleaner. So giving them something messy with sauce is asking for trouble. Asking Israel to wear a bib so he doesn't make a mess is actually kind of smart of Jill. Plus, he's not even wearing it in the photo.

"I work with elderly and young patients and guess what when the meal is messy we put clothing protectors (adult bibs) on them," reads one reply.

As she often does, Jill shared her recipe for her Sloppy Joes in her Instagram story. Many of her recipes use processed things like sauces or shelf stable things like pasta. She rarely cooks with fresh ingredients, and some people are concerned.

"I’m always looking for a way to bump up the nutrition content of our food - you could add a grated zucchini, two grated carrots and start with fresh onion, sautéed instead," someone suggested.

We don't know much about why Jill cooks the way she does. It could be because she grew up in such a large family and to stretch meals, canned goods and shelf stable are often used. And we often make the same kind of stuff we grew up eating. Or, we know that with Derick in law school, they likely don't have a ton of money, so these kind of meals are budget friendly. Someone else made a point that the family could live in a food desert, where access to grocery stores to regularly buy fresh ingredients is hard.

Either way, if Jill is happy and her kids are growing, that's all that matters.
