Fans Noticed Jill Duggar Was Missing From Another Duggar Family Event

If we know nothing else about the Duggar family, we know that they're quite close. How can you not be with that many kids? As the older Duggar crew marries and have families of their own it seems that they're still maintaining that closeness. But some fans have noticed that Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard may not be as close with the family as other are. Especially after they were missing from a Duggar family night.

Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth, Jill's younger sister, recently shared a post on Instagram from a Duggar family night. Many of the older Duggar kids and their families were there, but Jill and Derick were noticeably absent. "It’s hard to get all of us together now that we’re getting older and have our own schedules. Not all of us were able to make it tonight, but it was great catching up with the ones that were!" Joy captioned the photo. Jill did like the photo, so it could just be that she had other plans that night.

Rumor has it that Jill and Derick may not get along with the rest of the Duggar crew. Though the exact reasons may be slightly unsure, most people suspect Jill's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, don't really like her husband. Derick has a history of causing controversy. Back in 2017, after making transphobic comments about fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings on Twitter, Derick was fired from Counting On. Subsequently, Jill was featured less and less. Now, neither are on the show at all.

According to Radar Online, after Dillard was fired, Jim Bob and Michelle were not happy. Allegedly they were displeased with him, believing he brought "shame" to the family. An insider told Radar Online “Everything that Derick has said has caused the family bad press.” They went on to add that even though Jim Bob and Michelle respect Jill and the choices she makes in her marriage, they're concerned by “what he says and how he says it.”

But maybe there's nothing weird about the Dillard family missing Duggar family night. Oldest sibling Josh Duggar and his wife Anna were also missing from the picture, even though Anna commented "Sad we missed it this week... Looking forward to next Monday!" Because of this, it could also be that they were filming the family night for Counting On. Josh was never featured, and Anna was only featured in the early seasons.

While the relationship between Jill and her family may not be a close as it once was, there's still love there. Jill happily shared positive messages of congratulations when her siblings have had birth announcements or had children. And she was with Joy after her still birth. Maybe the main Duggar house is too overwhelming for her or the kids. Or maybe they don't like Derick. Only time will tell.
