Actress and mother of two Jenny Mollen is receiving an outpouring of support and well wishes after she revealed a very scary accident that happened with her and her son. Mollen took to Instagram to explain that she recently dropped her 5-year-old son, Sid, on his head, resulting in a fractured skull and a stay in the intensive care unit.

"On Saturday evening, I dropped my son on his head causing him to fracture his skull and landing him in the ICU," Mollen shared in her post. She went on to thank all the staff at the hospital that treated her son before adding it had been "a traumatic week." Any parent who has ever been responsible for inadvertently injuring their child knows the panic and trauma it can cause, and the mom of two couldn't help but thank her husband, American Pie actor Jason Biggs, for being there for her. "Not sure how this post turned into an Oscars acceptance speech... But @biggsjasonThank god for you! Thank god, thank god, thank god," she wrote.

She sent a message of solidarity and support to other parents adding, "My heart goes out to all parents who have or will ever find themselves in this kind of position. You are not alone..."

Mollen's willingness to be open and honest about such a scary situation prompted her friends, fans, and followers to thank her for sharing and leave their own scary experiences.

"So sorry this happened and very happy to hear everything is okay! Thanks for being so fkn real on here. A lot of moms/people need that. You’re an amazing mom!" wrote one fan.

"I so so appreciate you using your platform to be transparent about something that is so mortifying but also so common. Shit happens. I hope everyone is recovering well," wrote another.

"My mom dropped us a bunch. Moms be droppin! You’re doing great! I’m so glad he’s doing ok!" wrote comedian Molly O. Austin.

"Jenny that is so scary. I can’t even imagine. Thank you for sharing with us - accidents like this are probably much more common than anyone wants to admit. Sending lots of healing vibes to Sid and you and the rest of the family," wrote another commenter.

Thankfully Sid seems to be on the mend. Mollen wrote in her post that her 5-year-old son was doing well and was home indulging in lots of ice cream and "taking things slowly and recovering nicely."
