Parents become very protective from the moment their child is born. It is an innate instinct that kicks in the moment you hold that little baby in your arms. There just seems to be so much that we need to protect them from. We are very careful when it comes to their privacy, we are cautious about what we post on social media, and that includes pictures. Luckily, for a lot of people, they don’t have to worry too much about strangers trying to take pictures of their children. Celebrities have a much harder time.

Paparazzi follow celebrities almost everywhere they go, and if they take their children with them, they are going to try and get a few shots of them. Some celebrities must feel like they can never let their children out of the house.

According to Today, Jennifer Garner is opening you about what her family went through when it came to the paparazzi and (more importantly) how she handled it. When Jennifer was going through a divorce from ex-husband Ben Affleck, the paparazzi would not leave her alone. She explained how there was a time when there would be 6 to 20 cars outside every establishment they went, and this included their home and the pediatrician’s office.

She said that she was just begging them to move away from the door because she had a sick child that she needed to get to the doctor. She also stated that she understands it comes with the career she chose, but her children did not choose this and there has to be a point where it is just too much. She also recalled a moment when her daughter started playing soccer and the paparazzi would just show up at her soccer field.

It made the other parent’s so uncomfortable that they would ask Jennifer if her daughter could just not play soccer. There came a point when Jennifer said “enough is enough” and she joined with other celebrity moms to pass legislation that would protect the children of celebrities. She said it was really being spearheaded by fellow actress Halle Berry, but she was involved with it and it did pass. She said while it is not perfect, it has made a huge difference in the paparazzi hounding her children. She also briefly spoke about her marriage and said that it is not easy to make a relationship work when you are always in the public eye.
