A poem: It is easy to make and heaven to serve, summertime tastes like a berry preserve. Kids home from camp with bellies to feed, a wee bit of time is all that you need. Well, plus raspberries.♥️ And sugar helps, too. 😂 Annnnnnd this easy recipe from @zoenathanloeb.🥇 . #HuckleberryCookbook Raspberry Preserves Ingredients: 5 cups fresh raspberries (or you can add blueberries, too! 🙋🏻♀️) 1/2 tsp kosher salt 3/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste 😊) 2/3 cup water . 1. Combine everything in a medium stainless-steel pot. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat until the berries fall apart, about 10 minutes. 2. Uncover and cook down until thickened, stirring frequently to avoid burning, about 25 minutes. (if you have framboise splash a little in for depth of flavor— hi, @inagarten! ♥️) If you do burn it, sadly, there is no saving it. 😧 3. Refrigerate until needed. 4. Yum. ♥️
The actress, who shares three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck, daughters Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10, and son Samuel, 7 recently posted a clever idea she and her nanny came up with to keep the kids entertained now that summer is slowly coming to an end.
"If your house has run out of fun here at the end of the summer (Mom, I’m bored 😑) here’s an idea," she began her caption on her post. "My kids (plus one crafty nanny 🏆) made little construction paper animals and hid them, taped on walls, all over the house. An 🐊 behind the kitchen sink, a sloth hanging below the tv, a 🐑 in the powder room. They were busy and happy for a long time, and finding the animals is 🤩😊😂. PS. There is now a control panel next to my son’s bed that I use to power him down at night. It is ⭐️⭐️⭐️." she then hashtagged her post with "#ihadnothingtodowithanyofthis, #iwasparentingachicken, #wehavetohelpeachothergettolaborday"
She then posted a collage of pictures of the construction paper animals and Samuel's control panel showing exhausted parents everywhere how a little creativity and construction paper can lead to an entire day's worth of fun!

The idea is really quite simple, and most homes have all the art supplies needed to do something like this. Some construction paper, markers, scissors, and tape are all you need to keep the kids busy and having fun for at least a couple of hours. Garner's followers were thrilled with the idea and can't wait to give it a try themselves.
"I’m stealing this idea #nannylife," wrote one inspired caregiver. "What a great idea. And those are some impressive construction paper animals," wrote another.
One woman even shared her own idea of something fun to do the next time the kids are bored writing, "My sister put googly eyes on all of our family photos the last time she visited. It's too funny to remove, so I am constantly reminded of her... for your next bored afternoon."
Others were thrilled that the actress gave her nanny the props for coming up with such a great idea. "Love that you give kudos to nanny! Bless you."
If you're looking for something fun to do to keep the kids occupied, definitely give Garner's construction paper hack a try, and if you don't follow her already, you really should. If not for the #pretendcookingshow and generally positive vibe, for Garner's amazing dance videos. She really does have one of the best celebrity Instagram accounts.
