An awful lot has been going on in the world of former Teen Mom star, Jenelle Evans. If you have been following her legal issues, her and her soon to be ex-husband, David Eason, were dumped from the television show after Eason admitted to shooting and killing their dog. Evans is now campaigning for her job back with MTV and has many, many reasons why she deserves it.

This week, she announced that she has "filed papers" to end her marriage to Eason, hoping for a clean slate and a fresh start. A source shared with TMZ that as soon as that happened, Evans was trying to set up some meetings with the network, hoping to get her old job back.

Now why would she want to go back to filming reality television? The source further explained that the young mom wasn't "financially prepared" for the sudden firing and that her JE Cosmetics line, which debuted amid the scandal with Eason, didn't quite bring as much to fill the void as she had hoped.

They also added that her plans are to point out the strong rating her story brought to Teen Mom 2 during her upcoming meetings with MTV, as well as how everyone will be wanting to follow it even more after the dog's killing raised her profile.

“With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” Evans wrote on Instagram Thursday. “The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together, but you’ll hear from us again soon.”

The source further shared that the couple's break up was "a long time coming" and that things were definitely not what they looked like on the surface.
