Just less than two weeks ago former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans launched her makeup line with a launch party in New York during Fashion Week. Although Evans has been hyping her signature makeup line for over two years, many fans were confused when they realized that the former reality star only had one product for sale which was an eyebrow kit.
Although Evans took to social media to post pictures of her launch party, calling it "a huge success," RadarOnline recently reported that it was allegedly the exact opposite. A source told the site that JE Cosmetics had only sold 150 of the brow kits and that "customers are able to purchase up to 2,822 eyebrow kits, which could indicate the amount of products still available."
One beauty reviewer posted her video review of the brow kit and pointed out that not only were there hairs in the wax portion of the kit but that the pencil and brow shades would be too dark for someone with blonde or red hair. The eyebrow pencil also broke as she was using it.
While many sites noted that there were a significant amount of positive reviews on the JE Cosmetics website of the brow kit despite the reported low sales and cost of $40 per kit, others noted that it was simply the work of internet trolls having some fun after pointing out the names of those commenting were clearly fake.
Commenters by the names of Anita Janjaab, Dixie Normous and Hugh Jashole all left comments on the brow kit, trolling the former reality star. While there is no way to leave a current review, many of the possibly fake reviews are still visible on the site.
Comments have been also been turned off on many of the most recent posts on the JE Cosmetics Instagram page.
Evans has always been one of the most controversial cast members of Teen Mom 2 thanks to her previous history of substance abuse and her relationship with her mother, Barbara, but after her husband David Eason shot and killed their French Bulldog, Nugget, this summer fans called for MTV to take a stand. The couple was fired from the show as a result and Evans has seemingly been hard at work to launch JE Cosmetics.
