This may be a harsh reminder, but Christmas is only about 6 months away. It feels like we just past the yuletide season, but it is creeping back up on us. When you have children, it is shocking and amazing at how fast time goes. Soon, we will be putting up the tree, singing the songs, and watching our favorite movies all over again. Frosty the Snowman is one of the classic stories and films that families enjoy watching, and it looks like the jolly soul is getting a revamp.

Frosty the Snowman is getting a new live-action film, because it seems like everything is getting turned into live action lately. According to AV News, the snowman in the magical hat is going to be voiced by none other than Jason Momoa. That’s right, the same man who appears in Game of Thrones and Aquaman will be doing the voice of the snowman.

This may not be a move that a lot of people would have seen coming for Jason, as he is almost always seen as a macho, tough guy. Picturing him voicing a snowman meant for children can be tough, but we are all excited to see how it turns out. We are also starting to wonder if there is anything that this man cannot do.

Frosty the Snowman is one of the oldest stories, and the reason it was made was to teach children that everyone dies. That makes it seem a little more morbid; thankfully, it has always been done in a cheerful way. The story dates back to 1950, and it had the voice of Gene Autry singing to all the children. The new version is going to be a bit different. The movie is being created by Jon Berg, Greg Silverman, and Geoff Johns. They have always had Jason in mind for the role.

Greg Silverman spoke about how they know Jason and he is a person who is filled with love and compassion, so it made sense to have him portray Frosty. They strongly felt that he embodied the spirit of not only Frosty, but the Christmas spirit itself. It is definitely a holiday film that we are all looking forward to watching.
