In her video, Fonda pointed out that there were various workouts taking place on the television as well as computers. She asked her fans to join her in her workouts to save the planet. She said that the earth is facing a climate crisis and she referred to the crisis as an emergency and she further asks her fans to join her for the virtual Fire Drill Fridays. She told her followers that the future needed them and she needs them too.

According to Glamour, it seems Fonda just used the workout video to get the attention of her followers so that she could address the earth's climate crisis, which she refers to as an emergency. Virtual Fire Drill Fridays are gatherings that are organized by Fonda and Greenpeace USA that aims to raise awareness about the climate change crisis and what people can do to save it. Fonda works with some celebrities like Marissa Tomei and Piper Perabo to help in conveying the message to the public. Fonda and her team hope to have the drills this April every Friday at 2:00 pm.

Green Peace USA shared a video on Instagram featuring some celebrities asking fans to participate in the virtual Fire Drill Fridays. They captioned the post asking fans to join them alongside Fonda and Fire Drill Friday to encourage the politicians to agree to a Green New Deal that would end new fossil fuels and execute a fair progression to a sustainable economy that cares for the workers and communities.

They ended by urging their followers to stay at home and help them tackle the climate crisis online.
