Jaclyn Hill Responds To Fans Who Won't Stop 'Commenting' On Her Weight

Beauty guru Jaclyn Hill released a message on Instagram today talking about her weight, specifically that she has gained some.

The popular beauty blogger has had some drama in her life lately, the most notable recent controversy being that the nude lipsticks from her cosmetic line Jaclyn Hill Beauty were found to contain debris, upsetting customers. The lipsticks were found to contain bits of hair, mystery lumps and balls. After doing a product recall, she posted some apologies before taking a social media break.

Well apparently Hill has been now getting come criticisms for her weight, of all things. She addressed this issue on Instagram a few days ago with a post that candidly stated that she has gained weight, and that people just need to get used to it.

Aside from the fact that nobody should ever have to be questioned or criticized about their weight, Hill handled this with an incredible amount of grace stating "my face is bigger, my arms are bigger, my entire body is bigger. But you’ll just have to deal with it, cause this is me❤️."

It's incredible that people feel the need to comment on the weight of another person. It doesn't matter if she is a public figure, it is simply not ok to ever treat somebody else's body as community property. Although she should never have been put into the position of having to respond to the criticism, she chose to do so with a lot of tact and class.

Her post acknowledged the fact that she has gained weight, and she shared that it has caused her to feel insecure. She took the opportunity to show some love to her boyfriend for his support, stating he "still tells me how beautiful I am every single day & still picks me up and makes me feel like the most special girl in the world".

The fact that people were commenting on her weight at all is infuriating, however her response was a great example of how public figures have valid feelings too. Hopefully in the future, people will reconsider inserting their opinion where they don't belong.
