The man who became known to the world as the "hot felon" after his mugshot went viral is now a new ‘hot dad.’
Jeremy Meeks and Top Shop heiress Chloe Green have welcomed their first child together, announcing their son’s arrival in matching Instagram posts. Featuring a shot of the newborn’s tiny fists clutching a finger of each of his parents, the new parents made their announcement.
“We are pleased to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy Jayden Meeks-Green.Born May 29th 2018. Mommy and Baby both doing well. We kindly ask to respect our privacy. Please. Much love Jeremy & Chloe.”
Meeks first made headlines when his mugshot went viral, with many commenting on his piercing blue eyes and chiseled cheekbones. When he was released from prison where he did time for for felony gun charges, he was signed to a modelling agency and soon began walking the catwalk for some of the fashion industry’s heavy hitters and has walked in both New York and Milan fashion weeks.
He made headlines when he began dating Green, mostly because he was still married to Melissa Meeks a the time. He and Melissa share 8-year-old son Jeremy Jr. and the couple separated last July after 8 years of marriage.
Melissa Meeks learned that her husband was involved with Green when photos of the two were published online. Jeremy Meeks was reportedly working in Turkey when pictures of him and Green kissing on a boat were published.
Melissa told the Daily Mail that she felt as though her ‘heart stopped for a little bit,’ when her son informed her that the Top Shop heiress was expecting a child with her estranged husband.
She also didn’t hide her feelings about Meeks’ motivations for having a child with Green.
“I was in shock, but at the same time I knew it was coming. To me, starting a family with a billionaire’s daughter is the golden ticket, right?”
Despite rumors circulation that Green was expecting, neither Meeks nor Green had commented publicly on the pregnancy until the joint birth announcement on Instagram.
According to US Weekly, Meeks’ divorce was made official just days after he welcomed his son with Green. Jeremy and Melissa will joint legal custody of Jeremy Jr. while Melissa, will have primary physical custody. Jeremy will have “an approximately 30 percent timeshare.” He was also ordered to pay $1000 a month in child support.
With all his newfound success that doesn’t seem like it will be an issue. Congratulations to the new family.
