Has it really been 25 years since Bette Middler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Thora Birch bewitched us in the Disney flick Hocus Pocus? While the film’s quarter-decade anniversary actually passed over the summer, fans of the 90s hit flick will be thrilled to learn that a Hocus Pocus reunion special is on the way!
According to a September 27 report from E! News, Freeform will be hosting the Hocus Pocus 25thAnniversary Halloween Bash as part of their 31 Nights of Halloween. Specifically, the event will go down on Saturday, October 20 — so set your DVR NOW!

Here’s the bad news: the guest list of the reunion has been slimmed down, and only two of the movie’s three Sanderson sisters will be in attendance. However, many other of the film’s stars will be included, and expect a few interviews with members from the cast and crew.

Announced participants include Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy (AKA Sarah and Mary Sanderson), Doug Jones, Omri Katz, Thora Birch, and Amanda Shepherd. As for Bette Midler, while nothing has been announced, we can only hope we will get a glimpse of the big screen veteran in the exciting special.
Oh yeah, and an added bonus? Sharon and Kelly Osbourne will be presiding over a Hocus Pocus themed “costume contest.”
If you are on the west coast, you can even attend the anniversary gathering yourself. The official day of filming will be at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 2.
In addition to the main event on October 20, Freeform will also be airing the movie itself — marathon style— on Halloween day. Basically, from noon to midnight you can watch it on repeat! So grab your broomstick and get comfy on the couch, Hocus Pocus fans — this Halloween month you will be in for the ride of your lifetime!
