If your child is into gaming and has an obsession with a particular game of choice, you're certainly not alone. There are many games to select from, inclusive of Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite –each of them with their own mass appeal that kids just can't seem to resist.

Now that children are spending more time at home and online, the already popular gaming habits have sharply increased. These games come along with many real-life risks, and children's usage must be closely monitored to ensure online safety. Hilary Duff knows all about this reality, as her son is obsessed with playing Roblox, and she's found a way to make this a learning experience.

Luca is 8-years-old, and like most children, he challenges himself to different levels in the online gaming world. His game of choice is Roblox, a game that most parents are now all-too familiar with.

Luca isn't settling for the free options on Roblox though; he's opting to partake in some additional upgrades that require purchasing. Hilary Duff has managed to use this to her advantage and as an opportunity for learning about responsibility.

Hilary Duff's adorable son texted her to see if it's the end of the month yet, as he needs more money to put towards his Roblox gaming needs. The upgraded experience is one that he clearly craves very badly. So in the spirit of positive parenting, Hilary Duff reveals that he is given some sort of Roblox allowance but is capped on how much he can spend.

"Text from my 8 year olds iPad ......lol 😂🤣😂🤣," she captioned her Instagram photo, followed by, "Went a litttttle crazy on iTunes last month."

Hearing that even Hilary Duff's son begs her for Roblox funding makes all of our lives that much more normal, and it makes her much more relatable. Just when you thought it was only your kids who are "too obsessed" and "ask for money too much," it has become abundantly clear that this is a common occurrence in many households.

The key for all parents to remember, and something that Hilary Duff seems to have a good grasp on, is the fact that there has to be limits put on children's online gambling. This is essentially a form of gambling, despite the fact that their little minds may not fully be aware of the correlation.

Based on these texts, it's safe to assume that little Luca has limits to play within and that "the end of the month" is when his Roblox money gets reloaded.

Keeping tabs on children's gaming and setting appropriate perimeters for them to play within is a lesson well taught and well learned.
