We're only a few short weeks away from the launch of Disney's new streaming service, Disney Plus that will feature your old favorite and soon to be favorite television shows and movies from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and so much more. If you were wondering if it was worth it to shell out the $7 a month (or less depending on what promo you qualify for) for another streaming service, Verizon is now offering you a way to get Disney Plus for free for one full year.

When Disney Plus launches on November 12, Verizon will offer the streaming service free for one year to new and existing Verizon wireless unlimited customers as well as new Fios home internet and 5G home internet customers. If this is you and you've already pre-ordered the streaming service, you will still get your one year free. A Verizon spokesperson told CNBC that the “purchase will be put on pause and resume after the Verizon promo period.”

This will mean a huge jump in subscribers for Disney Plus.  According to Variety, Verizon that about 50 million of its 100 million Verizon Wireless accounts are on unlimited plans who will be eligible for the free Disney Plus offer. "The launch of Disney Plus kicks off a new era of streaming for The Walt Disney Company, bringing nearly a century’s worth of content from our iconic studios to consumers directly,” Kevin Mayer, chairman of Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer & International segment, said in a statement. “We’re excited to share this moment with Verizon and bring Disney Plus to the millions of customers across its award-winning wireless network.”

Verizon chief Hans Vestberg added, “Giving Verizon customers an unprecedented offer and access to Disney Plus on the platform of their choice is yet another example of our commitment to provide the best premium content available through key partnerships on behalf of our customers.”

Eligible Verizon customers will receive one year free of Disney Plus for each customer account and will be able to activate the streaming service on a variety of devices including gaming consoles, smartphones, and smart TVs. After their one year has expired they will be charged the regular subscription price of $6.99 per month unless they cancel.

If you're in the market for a new wireless carrier or you've simply been considering upgrading to an unlimited plan, this may just be the incentive you needed. After all, Disney Plus is offering so many classic movies and television shows as well as a full line up of some pretty amazing new titles and reboots that this seems to be a pretty sweet deal.
