Actress Heather Locklear was allegedly hospitalized over the weekend. A family called 911 claiming that she was threatening to kill herself. TMZ is saying that Ventura County Fire and Sheriff's Departments were dispatched to Locklear's home following the call. Though she did not have access to a gun or any sort of firearm, she was allegedly looking for one to shoot herself with. She was then transported to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

After reaching out to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, PEOPLE was unable to get any additional information. They say that Capt. Garo Kuredjian was not at liberty to comment on the situation, which is fairly common protocol. He also was unable to confirm that the call was in fact placed for Heather Locklear, but according to PEOPLE, public record shows that the block where the incident took place is indeed Heather Locklear's street.

This incident comes on the heels of two other incidents this year alone. In March of this year, Locklear voluntarily checked herself into a rehab facility to get treatment for addiction. That was following an incident with police in February.

In February, Heather Locklear was arrested on suspicions of felony domestic battery following an alleged altercation with her boyfriend. Answering the call, the police showed up at Locklear's house. She then allegedly attacked the police, threatening to shoot them if they came to her house again. Because of this threat, the police felt they needed to search the house for guns or weapons, not finding anything. The domestic battery charges were dropped in March while she was in rehab. Since she was in rehab, her attorneys pled "not guilty" on her behalf in the case of battery against a police officer. Apparently, she kicked one of the officers who came into her home.

This isn't the first time Heather Locklear has been taken to the hospital for a suicide threat either. In the spring of 2008, her doctor called 911, sharing his concern for her. The doctor was reporting that Locklear was suicidal and wanted to make sure she was okay. A few months later, she took herself to rehab to get to the root of her mental health and substance abuse problems.

We wish her the best.
