One mom’s photoshoot took a turn when she had the Grinch drop by to surprise her daughter. We always see the same stories popping up every year at Christmas time, and that is a parent’s tale of taking their child to see Santa that usually ends up in tears. Christmas pictures are a big tradition for a lot of families; they use them on Christmas cards to send to all of their family and friends to help celebrate the season.

The Grinch is the popular character from the Dr. Seuss tale and he can be quite intimidating for young eyes, especially when they are not prepared to see him show up behind them in a picture.

One mom took to Facebook to post what happened when she did a Grinch Christmas photoshoot with her daughter, and what followed was absolutely mesmerizing. Her daughter was sitting on a themed couch outside, and it even included a Grinch pillow. As someone is taking pictures, you can see the Grinch creep up behind her, and at this point she has no idea what is coming.

As the Grinch creeps closer, the girl really seems to be getting into it and even smiles and does a little dance. Little does she know that she is minutes away from her surprise guest. Eventually, she does look behind her and gets a glimpse at who is here to crash the party, and she immediately jumps off the couch and takes off. The look on her face is priceless, and most are not sure whether to feel bad for this little girl or laugh because they have been there.

The mom captioned the post by saying that her daughter will laugh at these one day, and she even followed up and said that she is completely fine now.

A fear of people in costumes is not something new for children, and according to Walking On Travels, it is quite common with children and can be a normal part of childhood development. For most children it is something that they eventually grow out of and before mom knows it her children will be running up to their favorite character and asking for a big hug.

Until then, we will all get to see these moments captured by mom and shared, and we are secretly glad they do share them because we know these are memories that they will all look back on and laugh.
