Fans of Netflix’s Grace and Frankie can rejoice. The series will be back for a sixth season, which will premiere on January 15, 2020. The streaming service's longest-running original series is about the unlikely friendship between Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin), who are united when their husbands reveal they are gay and start a relationship.

Although there is no official announcement regarding the cast, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, Brooklyn Decker, Ethan Embry, and other cast members are expected to return. Dolly Parton is also a likely addition, although Tomlin has said, “We’d like to see Dolly, and we keep hoping we’ll work out a schedule. But she’s just so busy.” The three actresses originally appeared in the 1980 film 9 to 5.

At PaleyFest, the show’s co-maker Marta Kauffman said Frankie and her old friend, Jacob (Ernie Hudson), might shake up things. “The electricity between them was so vibrant. We will be seeing him in season 6.”

Although the show is returning, Netflix has stated that the show will go on for one more season, but season 7 will be its last.

“It’s thrilling and somehow fitting that our show about the challenges, as well as the beauty and dignity of aging, will be the oldest show on Netflix,” Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris told Deadline.

Tomlin and Fonda also think it might be time to wrap things up. “We are both delighted and heartbroken that Grace and Frankie will be back for its seventh, though the final, season. We’re so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation. And their kids, and amazingly, their kids as well. We’ll miss these two old gals, Grace and Frankie, as much as many of their fans will, but we’ll still be around.”
