Flip-Flop Socks Are A Thing That Exists

Every once in a while, we see something that makes us feel incredibly old and completely out of the fashion loop. Maybe it's UGG sandals! Or hideous high-heeled CROCS! It's hard to keep up with what's considered on-trend lately, and honestly, sometimes we just don't get what the youths are wearing in the name of fashion. Sure, when you think back to when we were young, you probably cringe at some of the stuff we used to wear. The colors of the 80's alone are enough to make you regret every day you walked out of the house.

But sometimes, we see something that we just can't wrap our brains around no matter how hard we try. Somethings are better left unmade. Take, for example, flip-flop socks. WHY. Just ... why are these a thing? It's the fall and winter equivalent of UGG boots with short-shorts during the summer.

If you're the kind of person who lives in flip-flops but want to keep your feet warm during the colder months, these are going to be right up your alley! Now you can rock those sandals without getting frost bite. Allow us to introduce you to the newest in foot fashion: the flip-flop sock!

Here's the thing: these make no sense! Everyone knows that the part of your foot that gets the coldest is your toes, so why on earth would those be completely exposed while the balls of your feet are nice and toasty? It boggles the mind. We can definitely see these in a dance or yoga class, or lounging around the house. Or wearing them after a pedicure, that could totally work! But why anyone would wear them just as a regular pair of socks is a mystery to us!

But you know what? To each their own, right? We are sure we make fashion choices on a daily basis that make other people roll their eyes. That's the beauty of fashion: it's pretty much whatever you want it to be. And if you want it to be half-warm feet in flip-flops! All the high-fives to you. We hope your toes get some residual warmth.
