Farrah Abraham is defending herself once again after the mom shamers came for her for letting her 10-year-old daughter Sophia sport a full face of makeup while attending Beautycon in Los Angeles recently. The mother and daughter duo posed for pictures that Abraham posted to her Instagram page, but unfortunately, all most people could comment on was how much makeup her pre-tween daughter was wearing.

Abraham admitted that she is used to being mom-shamed and spoke to Hollywood Life about why she lets Sophia wear makeup.  "I would hope that Sophia can express herself however she wants in a safe and happy place," Farrah said. "She doesn’t need to feel ashamed for wearing makeup at any age. It’s normal, it’s healthy, it’s beautiful, it’s great."

The former reality star admitted that it's easy for her to dismiss the haters since she's always being mom-shamed for something or other. She also added that by letting her daughter experiment with makeup it's also the perfect time for Sophia to begin to learn about proper skincare. "It’s a good time to teach her about cleaning her face and good skincare with it, which I really love," Abraham told Hollywood Life at Beautycon. "As a mom, I just want to set her up for success."

"Sophia has a killer YouTube channel," Abraham went on to add. "People are loving the makeup, loving the beauty tips. And — Sophia, you were talking about preteen acne and those kinds of things — I think it’s great to get the conversation going. And I don’t have time for those haters."

This isn't the first time Abraham has defended her choice to let Sophia wear makeup. Back in 2016, Abraham admitted on The Allegedly podcast that she was called into the principal's office and spoken to about her 7-year-old daughter wearing makeup to school. "You know, when your kids are 5 or 6 they already start playing with makeup," Abraham said. "And I was the only mother in freakin' elementary school getting called in to deal with makeup on her daughter.  There's bigger things to worry about than makeup," she said.

She went on to further defend her decision to let Sophia wear makeup during an appearance on The Doctors in 2016. "I don’t ever encourage my daughter to wear makeup. That’s just something she likes to do… if she wants to wear makeup, it’s not a huge deal," she said during her appearance. "There’s no reason to take away from math, reading, and science, to focus on someone experimenting with makeup." She went on to add that "If she would like to wear makeup, then she may."

Clearly, Abraham is fine with her daughter wearing as much or as little makeup as she chooses, no matter what the haters say.
