Farrah Abraham Says She Explained Her Arrest To 9-Year-Old Daughter

If you thought former Teen Mom 2 star Farrah Abraham would want to hide her recent arrest from 9-year-old daughter Sophia, you'd be wrong. The reality star, who walked the red carpet with her pint sized mini-me at the recent 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards, opened up about coming clean to her daughter about her recent brush with the law.

“I actually did explain everything to her," Abraham told US Weekly, explaining that she told her daughter about what happened. "As it happens, you gotta just say unexpected things may occur and you just gotta keep your cool. You can be so nice to a certain extent and then it’s like, ‘Whew.’ People will try to ruin your career and you do nothing to have that happen.”

She went on to state that she's trying to put her arrest behind her.

“I’m just working hard and we are on track. I’m just thankful I didn’t get really in trouble because I really would’ve been sad about that, if it were my fault."

Abraham was quick to defend herself once she was released from jail writing on an Instagram post that, "I should never feel unsafe and be targeted at a hotel I’m staying at The Beverly Hills hotel truly allowed misconduct by staff to a paying guest there’s no need for me or anyone else to be treated this way."

Abraham took to Instagram to further defend herself while also throwing shade at her mother, Debra Danielsen. Danielsen spoke to RadarOnline after Farrah's arrest about her concern for her granddaughter Sophia.

“She needs to be with her family, not about strangers and volatility and her mother being arrested,” Danielsen told Radar. “It’s very disgusting. She needs to go to school… She needs to not be dragged on a party all over the world.”

In an Instagram post Farrah seemed to address her estranged mother's comments, confirming that Sophia wasn't with her when the drama at the Beverly Hills Hotel went down.

"I chose this life and I’m happy I never touch any one or trespass as well I learned long ago from my abusive mother to not have my daughter in certain places Sophia was not present."

Farrah confirmed to US that she's implemented a plan to ensure there's no more drama when she's out. “We had to go out last night for events and I was just very strict with my team about — hey, if someone has to go to the bathroom, we’re not leaving each other alone,” the former MTV star told Us. “Always have a buddy. Don’t be left alone and don’t be out until a certain hour.”

Farrah also, at the same time, still denies that she was arrested in the first place. Talking to TooFab, she said "I wasn't arrested."

Farrah offers clarification: "I was taken to containment."
