The investigation regarding the disappearance of 50-year-old Jennifer Dulos carries on. The stay-at-home mom and blogger went missing on Friday, May 24th, 2019 after dropping her children off at school in New Canaan, Connecticut. With her whereabouts currently unknown, her family is left wondering where she is and if she's okay.
The public is also curious about Jennifer's whereabouts and well-being. But there's also been curiosity as to the well-being of her five children. Not only is their mother missing, but their father is under investigation for this case, too. That would be hard on any child, no matter how old they are.
Fortunately, we now have an answer as to how Jennifer's children are doing. This is thanks to a statement that was recently released by the family of the missing full-time mom. According to the family, the five children are "healthy and well" despite all that's happened. As of right now, they're all living with Jennifer's mother, Gloria Farber.
The family's spokesperson, Carrie Luft, said that with Thanksgiving fast approaching, they're counting their blessings "in spite of this tragedy". Luft stressed that the family wishes for "acts of caring and generosity this holiday season...gestures of compassion" in Dulos' name.
"We give thanks that Jennifer’s children are healthy and well. We give thanks that they share their mother’s deep sense of empathy and curiosity about the world around them. And, as ever, we are deeply thankful to the New Canaan and Connecticut State police for their ongoing efforts to solve this case and bring those responsible to justice. As for Jennifer's disappearance, her estranged husband and his then-girlfriend- Fotis Dulos and Michelle Troconis- are persons of interest. The Dulos were in the midst of bitter custody battle and separation since 2017. Fotis and Michelle were arrested back in June for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and hindering prosecution. This happened after police accused them of driving around to several different locations to dump trash bags that contained bloody clothes. The pair were charged with another count of tampering with evidence in September, though it's unclear what brought this one. Both Fotis and Michelle had pled not guilty to all charges, with Fotis looking to have his charges dismissed.
Jennifer's body hasn't been found- and judging from what police have previously revealed, things don't look good. Officers revealed that they believe she suffered what's been described as a "serious physical assault" in her garage. That's because both bloodstains and blood spatter were found in that area of her home.
Our thoughts are with Jennifer's children, as well as her extended family. We can only hope that Jennifer will be found sooner than later.
