A new study has found that exercise does not replace healthy foods when it comes to making sure your body is healthy and well. Making sure that we are healthy and strong is not something that parents just want for their children, but for themselves as well. It is vital that a parent remains healthy for their child, and that they are modeling healthy living for their children. This means that they try and eat healthily, and they try and make sure that they get enough exercise to counteract the unhealthy food choices they may make.

According to ABC, a new study was done that has found that “vigorous” exercise is not enough to counteract the effects of a bad diet. This means that you have to pay attention to what you are eating along with exercise.

The study was done by the University of Sydney, and it can be read in full here. This study can serve as a warning to anyone who thinks that they can eat whatever they want as long as they exercise to “work it off.” Noting that it does not work that way after all.

The study found that those who both exercised well and had a healthy diet favored the best and had the lowest risk of death. To be specific, researchers looked at a person’s risk for cardiovascular disease, cancer, and “all-cause mortality.” They used over 360,000 British adults for their study, making it a large-scale study with fairly accurate results.

The study showed that there is the importance of a high-quality diet when you are thinking of getting healthy, and they defined this as five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, two portions of fish every week, and limited amounts of red meat. This is a diet that is recommended for adults, and it is also a good model for children to encourage healthy living as they grow.

They found that those who had the highest level of physical activity and a high-quality diet had a 17% lower risk of dying from all the previously listed ailments. More specifically, they were 19% less likely to struggle with cardiovascular health, and 29% less likely to lose their lives from cancer.

Melody Ding, one of the authors of the study, said that there is no denying the fact that if a person wants to live long, and well, they need to make sure they are getting enough exercise, and they are eating a well-balanced and healthy diet.
