This Company Lets You Try Custom Tattoos For 2 Weeks Before You Make Them Permanent

Getting a tattoo is a pretty big decision. Well, it should be a big decision, but we'll just ignore that tramp stamp we got in Mexico on spring break. Now that we're older, we are much more discerning when it comes to what we decide we want to permanently etch onto our bodies. People get tattoos for a lot of reasons - and if that reason speaks to you, then more power to you! But still, there's nothing worse than getting a tattoo and realizing as you're walking out of the studio that you might not have made the best decision. Whether it's the art you went with, or where you placed it on your body, tattoo regret is real and it sucks. Wouldn't it be great if we could take tattoos for a test drive before we made the lifelong commitment? Well, now you can, with Easy.ink Tattoos. These aren't your typically temporary tattoos, so no peeling or weird plastic sheen.

These things are awesome, and as close to a real tattoo you can get without the pain and permanence.

That totally looks like a real tattoo, right? Well, it's not! That's Easy.ink, a semi-permanent tattoo that lasts for up to two weeks. The company was started by brothers Arie Oz and Eran in 2014. They wanted to come up with a way to allow people to test-drive tattoos before making the commitment for the real deal. Easy.ink tattoos are made using organic fruit ink, which comes from the Jagua fruit. The ink is used all over the world, in food, cosmetics, and by temporary tattoo artists.

There are hundreds of designs to choose from, so you're likely to find something that catches your eye. And you won't need a wet paper towel to apply these semi-permanent tattoos. You rub the patch onto your skin, no water required. You have to leave the patch on for up to 8 hours, while the ink sets. And once you remove the patch, you have to be careful about ink transfer for the next 24-48 hours. Your tattoo will darken in that time, so in that sense it's a lot like henna. If none of the pre-made designs tickle your fancy, you can also get a Free Hand Ink Kit, which allows you to design your own tattoo using the same ink.

It's a pretty genius idea! Even if you're not in the market for a permanent tattoo, playing around with Easy.ink could be fun.
