DJ Khaled is using his resources to help his son and some of his classmates. Children of celebrities have been facing the same challenges that other children have been. They have been pulled out of school and choosing to do virtual learning. It is easy to assume that they must have it “so easy” because they are children of rich and famous celebrities. While that may be true, some celebrity parents are using their resources to help, and that is what DJ Khaled is doing.

According to People, DJ Khaled has turned his guesthouse into a learning pod for his son and some of his classmates. Khaled has two children, Asahd, 4, and Aalam, 10 months, with his wife, Nicole Tuck. Being one of those “rich and famous” celebrities means that he has a guest house that he has been able to turn into a COVID-19 safe learning pod.

Khaled and his wife said that they decided to create this setup so that their son and his classmates could have some form of normalcy in a world where everything is anything but normal. Khaled’s wife said that when her son’s preschool was shut down in March due to the pandemic, she was doing Zoom classes with him. She thought that there had to be a better way to do this and she came up with the idea for a learning pod.

According to Parents, the learning pod consists of other families who are quarantining, so there is low-risk when it comes to transmission of the virus. She said that they have 7 children in their learning pod, and two teachers and it is absolutely amazing. Khaled gives all the credit to his wife and said that she did everything. That she was able to turn their guesthouse into a little schoolhouse.

It sounds like their son is pretty lucky, but he also puts them to work. Khaled says that he makes them read him 10 books before bed every night and he takes it very seriously. They can’t get anything past him, and he will make sure that there are 10 books there to read. He also has his favorites and he knows the words by heart now because they have read them so much.

It turns out that celebrity families really all like everyone else and they struggle with the same bedtime struggles we all face. Khaled likely doesn’t mind because he has said that he has always wanted to be a dad.
