Disney parks are full of magic and whimsy, that's just a fact. Sure, they might be geared toward children, but plenty of adults have the time of their lives there, too! In fact, in any given day at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, you'll see just as many adults there as you would kids. They hit the parks, kid-free, and just live it up! Now, Disneyland is the OG Disney park, and in our opinion, superior to any other Disney park. Except for one small detail: they don't serve any alcohol anywhere in the park.

Well, that's not entirely true. They DO serve alcohol at Club 33, but it's a private, members-only club with a years-long waitlist and annual dues in the thousands. So it's not exactly accessible to most park-goers! When California Adventure opened, folks got a taste of what Disneyland could be like with a little cocktail action, and it was rather nice. California Adventure has several bars and restaurants that sell alcoholic beverages, and even has a small winery on-site. But Disneyland has remained dry ... until now.

Fans were surprised to learn that starting in 2019, Disneyland will offer alcoholic beverages to its guests, with one small caveat: you can only get a cocktail at Oga's Cantina in the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge experience, which is part of the massive Star Wars expansion the park is currently undergoing. This is the first time in the park's 63-year history that park-goers can grab a beer or a glass of wine in between waiting In line for a ride (save for Club 33, of course!).

Oga's will serve beer, wine, and premixed cocktails, some with an outer space theme! The cantina is fashioned after local watering holes featured in some of the films, where patrons drank with friends and shady business deals went down. You're not allowed to take the booze with you when you leave, so make sure you grab a table and sit for spell.

When Walt Disney created his parks, he had a strict no-alcohol policy to prevent park-goers from getting too rowdy. But as we've seen at Disney World and California Adventure, both of which have been serving alcohol to adult visitors for some time now, it hasn't been an issue. Oga's Cantina, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and the rest of the Star Wars expansion is set to open summer of 2019.
