It is time to start planning because Disney World is already planning its Halloween, and it starts earlier than you would expect. Disney World is a family favorite, and it is something that both children and parents love. However, some people may love Halloween even more, and if you love both, then there is some good news for you. COVID-19 took away any hope of something to look forward to for too long, but parks are now starting to reopen, and they are planning for the upcoming festivities, even if it is only May. Disney World is known for its celebrations, and they are already planning their Halloween for this year.

According to FOX News, Disney World has shared their Halloween plans for this year, and it includes a large bash and tons of festive treats. While no one wants to wish the summer away, we are looking forward to celebrating some of the holidays and events that we love. Who's ready?

The park shared their update to their Disney Parks Blog, and they are starting their celebrations in August this year.

Disney World typically holds a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but instead, they are hosting a Disney After Hours BOO BASH at Magic Kingdom Park. This event will run from August to October.

The event will run on special dates starting on August 10th and going right up until Halloween. It will run from 9 pm EST until midnight. It really is an “after-hours” bash.

Party planners right now are working on Halloween-themed cavalcades, characters, special performances, treats, decorations and so much more. The park's usual Halloween event was canceled last year due to the pandemic, and it seems like the park has decided to try something different this year, but you know you can count on a good time with Disney.

Families will need to purchase BOO BASH tickets and this will get them into the event earlier, and you won’t need an additional pass for the parks. The park is still requiring face masks to be worn due to the ongoing pandemic, and they are likely to still implement social distancing. Costumes are encouraged, though a list of restricted costumes can be found on their website here.

The park is also celebrating the halfway mark to Halloween this month. The event kicked off on May 7th and if you visit the blog website, you will be treated to special themed recipes to make as a family. Families don’t have to wait to celebrate Halloween, they can get dressed up now and start making some scary delicious treats.
