Another day, another dramatic moment from Derick Dillard. Dillard, the husband of Jill Duggar. By now, fans have come to expect Dillard's comments/rants about the hands that used to feed him. Unsurprisingly, he's yet again criticizing TLC, the network that airs the Duggar's show Counting On. This time, he's taking the network to task over the fact that they edited him, Jill, and Jill's cousin Amy Duggar King out of the episode focusing on the funeral of grandma Mary Duggar.

Mary Duggar died over the summer, but the funeral episode aired as the season finale on December 17th. According to Dillard, TLC edited them and King out of the episode, even though they were certainly in attendance.

"So your no longer filming counting on? Never see you, Jill or the kids in any episodes. Not even the heart wrenching episode of grandmother Duggar’s death," someone asked on his most recent Instagram post.

Of course Dillard had an answer, saying "not our fault. TLC cut out any family that they don’t want viewers to see in attendance. It wasn’t in the script for us or the Kings to be there."

If you look at Amy's Instagram however, she tells a much different story. On the day the episode aired, King posted a video montage of her and Grandma Duggar with this caption:

"It's ok to request to grieve in private.. it's ok to not want to be shown. I was a mess that day, and even though it was a celebration of her life it was still probably the hardest day I've ever had. Not a day has gone by where I don't think of her, she wasn't just a Gma to me but more of a best friend."

So her decision not to be shown was entirely hers and had nothing to do with the network. Amy and her husband Dillon were only occasionally featured on the show, but back in November 2019, she confirmed on one of Jill's Instagram posts that she wouldn't be featured on the show anymore.

It is worth mentioning that Derick was fired from Counting On after making transphobic comments about TLC star Jazz Jennings on social media. Jill stopped filming shortly after her husband's firing in an act of solidarity. However, according to Derick, he didn't get fired, he had already quit. After the incident, TLC made it clear they would no longer be featuring Dillard on the show ever again.

"The show is only about what TLC wants it to be about. If there’s something about the family that they don’t want viewers to see, then they’ll just edit it out or create their own storyline. TLC is only going to show viewers what they want viewers to see," Dillard added.

Anyone who follows Dillard knows this isn't the first time he's come for TLC on social media. Late last year, he low key threatened the network on Twitter, saying "All I’ve got to say is, they better lawyer-up." This was after accusing the network of having "issues." "If money is all they care about, then it’s going to catch up with them," he tweeted.
