If you follow the drama of Teen Mom 2, you're probably familiar with David Eason. He's married to Jenelle Evans, but not for too much longer. Eason has been nothing but problematic for a long time. And fans are certainly aware of what he's capable of. So when he posted a picture of himself and his oldest daughter, 11-year-old Maryssa, fans had no problems voicing their concerns for the young girl's well being.
Eason captioned the photo of himself and Maryssa in front of some sort of carnival ride "It's the fair!" It's hard to know for sure, but from the looks of the photo, it's just the two of them. Commenters noticed that Maryssa may not be entirely happy to be spending quality time with her dad.
"Her eyes say it all. She’s not a happy young lady," one person said. This particular comment caused Eason to reply, saying "Are you speaking for yourself oooor does someone need to show you a mirror?"
"SHE LOOKS UNCOMFORTABLE," someone else observed.
"Drop her off at the fair. Don’t go with her and her friend!!!" another added. Many people took issue with this suggestion of course. There were plenty of comments saying that it's unsafe to leave kids that young alone in a place with that many strangers around. Eason also replied, saying he took her and his nephew.
Given the fact that Jenelle Evans recently announced that she's filing for divorce from Eason, it's no surprise that people are on edge. The soon to be former couple have been through a lot this year. This spring, Evans was fired from Teen Mom 2 because Eason allegedly shot and killed her dog Nugget. Eason had been fired from the show in 2018 because he posted a series of homophobic tweets.
The story around Nugget's death was quite a saga. First Eason claimed to not have shot the dog, who allegedly bit the couple's toddler in the face. As a result, the couple briefly lost custody of their children. After investigating Evans' claims, the North Carolina Sheriff's Department found no evidence and said she was lying. Then only recently, Eason admitted to killing the dog.
Now Evans is filing for divorce from Eason and taking their daughter and her two sons from previous relationships. "The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together, but you’ll hear from us again soon," she wrote on an Instagram post.
Eason was unaware of Evans' intentions, stating on Facebook that he was filing a missing persons report for her and their daughter. He claimed they had "disappeared." This caused Evans to file a restraining order against Eason. She has given details about 11 different instances of abuse by Eason.
