Former MTV Teen Mom 2 cast member David Eason is speaking out after wife Jenelle Evans announced the couple's split on social media. Eason, who shares two-year-old daughter Ensley with the former reality star, took to Instagram to throw a bit of shade at his wife regarding their split and her reported attempt at gaining full custody of their daughter.

Evans was fired from the popular MTV franchise after Eason shot and killed their family French bulldog in the Spring. MTV had previously cut tied with Eason after he made homophobic and transphobic comments on social media. Evans announced on Halloween that she had made the decision to leave Eason and that she and her children had moved out of their family home.

Eason spoke out for the first time yesterday about the split, posting a series of Instagram stories that threw a bit of shade at his estranged wife. US Weekly reports that Eason posted a screenshot of a TMZ article about Evans wanting full custody of the couple's daughter Ensley. In a separate image Eason then posted another TMZ screenshot of an article about Evans' alleged road rage incident from earlier this year where she was reported to have shown another driver a gun in her car while her 9-year-old son Jace was in the passenger seat. “But this okay,” he wrote.

In another post on Instagram where Eason shared a picture of Ensley, his daughter Maryssa and another friend at the mall, one commenter wrote, "So glad Jenelle got smart!" prompting Eason to reply, “Nope, she’s still stupid.”

Rumors are circulating that Evans is hoping that her decision to leave her husband will help her land her job on Teen Mom 2 back. Sources claim that Evans, who has since launched her own makeup 'line' that hasn't been as successful as she hoped, wasn't "financially prepared" for her job loss.

Some fans have suggested that Evans splitting from Eason is only for appearance's sake in hopes that she will get her job — and paycheck — back but the couple will continue to be together. Others who have been critical of Eason since the couple first got together are hopeful that the split is legitimate and that the couple will part for good.
