There is something so special about a father-son relationship that makes everyone totally swoon, and watching the love between Dan and Eugene Levy has been nothing short of swoon-worthy. In their latest interview with Entertainment Weekly, the acting duo and masterminds bending the beloved show, Schitt's Creek, opened up in ways that only they can make us smile.

It's amazing to watch Eugene and Dan Levy interact, knowing that their bond is just as amazing (and possibly even more amazing) off-camera as it is whenever they are working together. Recently, Entertainment Weekly named the performers as two of their entertainers of the year, which is a very well deserved title in our opinion.

Whenever they sat down for a recent interview with the publication, Dan shared how much gratitude he has for the supportive relationship that he shares with his father and we think this is something for many dads to take note of.

Most specifically, he opened up about grateful he is that Eugene never questioned him about his identity.

"I've never had to prove myself, I've never had to explain myself," Dan said. "And that, I feel like, fundamentally is the support that every father needs to give their son. Particularly, fathers and sons where the son is a gay or queer person, " he said.

He also noted that they aren't the most lovey-dovey family, sharing how "I don't finish every conversation with, 'Love you!'" they still support each other and are by each other's side whenever it counts the most.

Since Schitt's Creek has ended, we've definitely been on the end of our seats wanting more and are super hopeful that this father-son duo has another magical show in the works. For now, though, we will take what we can get and this interview and all the moments it encompassed will hold us over for the meantime.

And of course, if you know any father-son relationship that is struggling right now, watching these two is very inspiring. It totally proves that support from your family is everything, no matter how old you are.
