The internet is full of such weird and wonderful things, but it is hard to find pure and wholesome content anymore. You get sucked into a rabbit hole of weird TikTok trends and challenges, that you miss some really good and sweet content. Content that has purpose. Rob Kenney may just be a name to you right now, but he has one of the purest YouTube channels right now. He has a popular YouTube channel called ‘Dad, How Do I?’ and it is filled with sweet, instructional videos.

The story behind this idea comes from a very personal place, and it was inspired by Rob’s story with his own father. Rob did an interview with Shattered, and he told the heartbreaking tale of his own journey with his father. He stated that his father left his whole family when he was 14 years old. When his dad left, he moved in with one of his older brothers. Time has gone by and he is now married with children, but he wanted to find a way to help all of those out there who found they had lost their father.

Rob stated in the interview that he wanted to help those who struggle with a broken family or absent parent. The videos he posts are all topics that one would typically ask their father for help with. Topics he covers are how to check your car oil, tire pressure, how to fix a running toilet, how to tie a tie and even how to iron a shirt. He basically wants to be everyone’s dad.

Rob stated that when he started, he thought it was just going to be simple videos showing people how to do things, and he had no idea it would hit so many people emotionally. People see his channel as something completely pure and sweet, it has resonated with people who do not have fathers in their lives for whatever reason. These moments when you ask your dad for help, can be incredibly bonding. Rob is giving this moment to a lot of people out there, and he may become their internet-adoptive father.

His channel has over 800, 000 subscribers and it is growing every day. Rob shared a special video thanking everyone for all the love and support. He did not think that his channel would be such a hit. He said, “The pain is pretty real in our world, and hopefully, this will help alleviate some of it.”
