It's that time again! A new month is almost here. April means spring is finally here, and we can dust the cobwebs off of everything. But if you're looking for a way to get out of spring cleaning, April also means that there are a bunch of new movies and shows on Netflix. Because let's face it, watching a murder documentary is way more fun than cleaning out the attic. April looks like it's going to be a good month of content, so maybe you should use one of these new movies as a treat for spring cleaning?
Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) stars as Jenny, a woman who's about to move to San Francisco for her dream job. When her boyfriend of nine years, played by Lakeith Stanfield, breaks up with her, she can either wallow, or go out with a bang. So she enlists the help of her two best friends Erin (DeWanda Wise) and Blair (Brittany Snow) to have one more epic night in New York City before she goes. This movie promises to have everything a good rom-com needs, heartbreak, friendships, starting over, and some seriously hilarious one liners. Catch it when it drops on April 19th!
And if you're looking for a little magic, part two of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is flying in on its broomstick on April 5th. Thankfully that isn't too much of a wait since it feels like literally forever since part one dropped. We also get Kevin Hart's first Netflix original comedy special, Irresponsible. We're wondering if he's going to talk about the Oscars thing too. Check it out on April 2nd.
If you're into choose your own adventure type shows, and you have a thing for the wilderness, you're in luck. Survival expert Bear Grylls has a new interactive show coming on April 10th. In this new show, You vs. Wild, the viewer gets to follow Grylls on adventures all over the world. But the fun part is that they get to make all the decisions. There will be multiple points where the viewer gets to direct Grylls's actions, which could be great, or could be very dangerous.
Even though it's not October, there are a good handful of horror movies coming, just in case you're in the mood for a good scare. And if you like nature documentaries, you may want to check out Our Planet, a new eight part nature documentary series that is set to remind us why nature is so important and hopefully give us tips on how to protect it. All eight parts arrive on April 5th.
