Chrissy Teigen is getting by with a lot of help from her friends, and her friends are pretty amazing. The cookbook author has given her friends a lot of credit for helping her and her entire family deal with the loss of her unborn son just a few weeks ago. One outpouring of support was so sweet and generous that Teigen had a hard time holding back the tears as she wrote about it on Instagram.

"Ok, I tried writing this 4 times but the tears were too much. Here we go again, with my heart full of warmth and happiness," Teigen began her post. "My friend @kimmiekyees sent me this with the caption “Me and 6 of my friends donated blood to replace the 7 pints you were given in the hospital, in honor of baby Jack. I love you friend."

Teigen's friend, celebrity manicurist Kimmie Kyess organized a group of women to donate blood in honor of her late son, a gesture that clearly touched the model deeply. "Phewwwww the tears. I’m overwhelmed by our circle of friends. The love I feel for each and every person in our circle actually makes me ache. @kimmiekyees, I’ve known you for so many years now. You know every story, you hear every life gripe, you’re amazing at what you do but the way you treat my kids and family is cherished always. To do something like this for baby jack is just...I dunno. Beautiful," she continued.

Teigen went on to add that her friend told her that since high schoolers actually make a large population of blood donors, donations have been down. With the current health pandemic affecting in-person classes and having no in-school blood donor clinics, blood drives are missing out on that key demographic, making Kyees and her girlfriends' donations even more important.

Kyees also encouraged her followers and anyone touched by her donation to also schedule their own donation, directing people to the Red Cross website and explaining how they too can donate much-needed blood in their city.

Teigen had previously posted about the "bags and bags of blood transfusions" she received while hospitalized. "Kimmie, I love you," Teigen concluded her post. "I love this. I am so proud of the people I surround myself and my family with."
