If you have been following Royal Caribbean cruse case, an arrest has been made. In July, 18-month-old Chloe Rae Margaret Wiegand was with her grandfather, Salvatore Anello while the family was vacationing and after she was placed too close to an open window, she fell to her death from the Royal Caribbean ship's 11th story, the family's lawyer, Michael Winkleman, told NBC News.

Chloe was was traveling with her parents and her four grandparents while on the cruise.

"Essentially, her grandfather lifts her up and puts her on a railing and where he thinks that there is glass there because it's clear, but it turns out there was no glass there," Winkleman said. "She goes to bang on the glass like she would have at one of those hockey rinks, and the next thing you know, she's gone."

Her obituary described her as a happy little girl who would "laugh, smile and throw kisses, even at strangers." Her mother said, "She could get anybody to smile. Her first word was 'Hi.' I mean, she loved people."

According to NBC New York,  authorities in Puerto Rico filed charges Monday against  Anello. San Juan Investigations Chamber judge, Jimmy Sepúlveda, determined cause for the arrest and set his bond at $80,000. A hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 20.

As can be imagined, the entire family is devastated about the whole situation and looking for answers from the cruise line as to why the glass window was open in a children's play space to begin with.

"Why in the world would you leave a window open in an entire glass wall full of windows in a kid's area?" the attorney asked.

Royal Caribbean International's response on Monday is that they are "deeply saddened" about the accident.
