In 2002, a movie came out called Cheaper by the Dozen, and it starred some pretty big names. It starred Steve Martin, Piper Perabo, Bonnie Hunt, Tom Welling, and Hilary Duff.
Hilary Duff is also well-known from her role as Lizzie McGuire that a lot of moms remember and are now binge-watching on Disney+. It looks like the cast of the hit movie has come together to recreate some of the most iconic scenes from the movie. It was done in a trendy style that is taking over TikTok right now.
In the trend, music plays as we watch people recreate pictures from their childhood. It usually involves a grown woman jumping into her dad’s arms before it cuts to the original picture of dad holding a small baby. It is sweet and honest, and we are here for it.
Hilary shared the video on her Instagram page with the caption, “Surprise! From the Baker family to yours. We are all int his together.” All of the stars of the show have some time on their hands since we are all at home in quarantine. The clip did not feature all the cast members, Steve Martin was missing, but it represented a good chunk. What is more important is that the pictures they were recreating are instantly recognizable.
Cheaper by the Dozen followed the Baker family, which consisted of 12 children, as they moved from their family home in the country to a new life in the city. Of course, hilarity ensued with that many children as we watched their parents try to juggle everything that comes with having a large household. We definitely needed the distraction and the throwback to remind us of a much simpler time.
