The world mourned collectively on Friday, August 28, as we all learned that actor Chadwick Boseman passed away from colon cancer. He had been fighting the cancer for four years. But despite living with cancer, Boseman never let that stop him from doing anything. The Black Panther actor even made time to visit children in the hospital, some who were even battling cancer themselves. He was selfless and continued to be so up until his death.

He was a huge inspiration for children everywhere. According to KTLA 5, Boseman had spoken in a SiriusXM interview about how he was in contact with two terminally ill boys and their parents. In the interview, he got emotional and explained how the children were so excited about the movie and just "trying to hold on" until the movie came out. Again, all while quietly living with cancer himself. He said that he knew that the boys were "anticipating something great." Three days after the interview aired, the movie was released.

In 2018, he also visited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Tennessee to surprise children. He kept his own battle with cancer silent while doing everything that he could for children battling it. He even came in and surprised a little girl with an impromptu birthday party for her.

Boseman was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, and quietly battled it until the end. He had not mentioned that he was living with cancer, nor that he was working while receiving chemotherapy treatments. However, earlier this year, fans became concerned about Boseman's smaller frame, the weight loss that they were seeing. When he had done an Instagram live, his leaner size fetched even more attention, concerning fans even more.

In addition to Black Panther, Boseman also played a plethora of many other roles, and stepped into many roles. Some of them include Captain America: Civil War, Message From The King, Marshall, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and 42 -- a film about Jackie Robinson. Coincidentally, Boseman passed away on Jackie Robinson Day, a Major League Baseball holiday.

Boseman bought joy to children and adults alike. So many are mourning his passing. He will not soon be forgotten by adults, teens, and the children's lives he's touched alike. We will never forget him or his contributions to the cinematic world. May Boseman rest in peace, knowing that he influenced and touched so very many lives. "Wakanda Forever", indeed.
